Multiple Austrian champions of the past years, Rudolf Klupaty and Elisabeth Gruber, proved strongest at Marco Polo Masters cup tournament on 15–16 March 2008 at an indoor eternite course in Wien, Austria.

The reigning Austrian champions Markus Berger and Elisabeth Berger-Rella lost to Klupaty and Gruber in the final matches of the cup competition.

The tournament also included “secondary finals” for players who fell from the cup competition at an early stage. Women’s secondary cup tournament was won by young MOS specialist Olivia Prokopová of Czech Republic, 13 years of age. Men’s secondary cup was conquered by Thomas Emich.
