Uppsala and Rot Gold takes over lead

Austria 01 Oct 2010 at 20:55 | Published by: Hans | Views: 7917 | News search

Uppsala and Rot Gold takes over lead Uppsala from Sweden and Rot Gold from Austria are in the lead position as the European Cup has played 2 of 3 days in Wasserpark, Vienna.

Uppsala showed on Friday why they where high favorites to winning the title on the men’s side in the Europacup. With two green series they overtook the lead from W.A.T. 21 that had a not so good day and is now 14 strokes behind Uppsala.

Still also the Olten team from Switzerland plays consistently and is now in third position another 16 strokes behind. These three are in a league of their own and have left German Arheilgen and the others surprisingly long behind.

In the ladies class the home team from BGCU Rot Gold made the first ladies green team round the second lap today and by that they overtook the lead with a margin of 8 strokes. The Czech Brno team is in second spot and titleholder Effretikon from Switzerland is another 7 behind in bronze position. In fourth place we find the German team from Göttingen that had a though day today and is now 25 strokes behind the lead.

Best individually after two rounds are Carl-Johan Ryner, Uppsala (31,3) and Elisabeth Kammerer , Rot Gold (36,5)

Tomorrow the final two laps are played.
