Partnership in France to discover minigolfsport

France 16 Feb 2011 at 17:17 | Published by: gregisback | Views: 10897 | News search

Partnership in France to discover minigolfsport A original partnership in France between the CGPLP Rillieux (LYON) and the private Saint-Charles high school.

Rillieux is primarily a trainer club. The third generation of young players appeared in 2008 and in less than a year some have already achieved excellent results. Durind the last french championships : first place in pupil and the first three places in junior. Created in the early 90s, the club has won over 20 titles mainly junior and pupil, individually or in teams.

The ground is situated near a high school and by the way a partnership has existed for 5 years with the Saint-Charles high school. During the first 6 weeks of reopening school, students from the 3rd orientation discover the minigolfsport for one morning a week.

Supervision is provided by the CGPLP's president, Yvon Francaux and Marc Bonnet.

Students are graded by their teachers on the respect of instructions given during these mornings that end each time by a small tournament to the delight of students.

For students who are looking, mini golf is a good school: as in life, goals are achieved, but the path is strewn with pitfalls and perseverance is the key to success. Some students have quickly learned the benefits for their education and personal development.

In fact, 6 pupils from St Charles took up the challenge and participate in tournaments since september 2010 and took official FFM license for 2011.

As for other individual sports, we do not fight directly against an opponent but above all against oneself. This is a message that Marc Bonnet their give on the field and in his speech in the classroom for a lesson of "mental coaching" crossing the barriers of tracks like the pitfalls in life.

Minigolf competition is a very fun way to give them confidence and awareness of their own personality and empower their daily lives.

"Bad score on a fast track, forget it and go to the next = self-control!"

And as a pupil said: "Perseverance and how to overcome the difficulties!"

Thank you I thank you for your comments. .en France as in many countries the crazy golf is regarded as a leisure and surprised when you declare that there exist national and international championships.!
it is not always easy to educate the young people but Yvon and me we like that because of new players and players who succeed in the crazy golf.
Yvon & Marc french TEAM senior or open
partnership cost 00€ but time and patience...!

Well, first I want to say that it is perfect to read that some people sacrifice their time for projects like this - congratulations to Rillieux to Yves and Marc!

But I can't leave Oskari's comment regarding Diamond Masters uncommented... I don't know any facts, but I strongly believe that the money invested in Diamond Masters is coming from sources, who would not invest money in this kind of fantastic youth projects but who want some visibility and publicity for their money - these are called sponsors.

In Germany there is a saying "you shouldn't compare apples with pears" and I have a feeling this is what was happening here. On the other hand I can once again refer to the fact, that WMF Youth Committee offers some financial support for projects like this in France. They don't have to be national, but the applications must come via national federations. Number of applications in 2010 for 2010 or 2011 until now = 0.

Feel free to contact me if you have this kind of projects in planning. Gladly I received already last week a call regarding a planned project starting 2012, if the plans are accepted by local authorities. So things are moving here and there - to the right direction.

I keep on repeating myself, but it is only YOU who can do something in YOUR HOMETOWN, let the others take care of their hometowns. ;-)

Really really nice! This is more like what minigolf people should do when they wan't to bring the sport up. Not always about big money prices, TV-time, looking cool and such. Reach to the people! GENERALLY: few people find interesting who is THE BEST in minigolf; what they wan't is to experience the joyness and self-control growth that this sport offers! If all the money and resources used in the Diamond Cup would have been invested on activity like this... THIS is investing and building the future not only for these pupils, but also for the minigolf sports aswell!

Shoutout to Yvon and Marc and everybody whom worked behind the scenes! I say inspirational, respect!!
