Canterbury’s Marc Chapman wins his fifth BMGA Tour Title by winning the BMGA British Masters at Strokes Adventure Golf

Marc ‘The Force’ Chapman from Canterbury, Kent, won the 12th annual BMGA British Masters minigolf tournament at the Strokes Adventure Golf course in Margate, Kent on Sunday 10th April.

38 players took part in the event, with British Minigolf Association (BMGA) Tour players, and 11 novice players competing in the three round (54-hole) tournament on the 18-hole Strokes Adventure Golf course. Marc Chapman won with a total score of 98 (-10), while defending British Master Andy Exall, from Paddock Wood, Kent, was one-shot back from Chapman and took the runner-up spot. In third place was Cambridge’s Adam Kelly.

Other prize winners at the competition were Wandsworth’s Seth Thomas, who won the Category 2 prize. The Category 2 runner-up spot went to Oxford’s Chris Smith, and Scotland’s Freddie Blackburn-Shaw was third.

In Category 3 Matthew Humphrey won the top novice prize, with Alan McLaughlin runner-up and Paul Tatterton in third place.

London’s Brad Shepherd won the Aces prize. Shepherd had to defeat Kent Minigolf Club Captain Sean Homer in a play-off to claim the prize after both players had scored eight holes-in-one across the three-rounds.

BMGA Chairman Sean Homer said “Thanks to everyone who took part in the BMGA British Masters, and to Matt, Brian and Frankie Wood for their hospitality over the weekend at Strokes Adventure Golf. Thanks also to Marion Homer and Emily Gottfried for helping to run the event on Sunday.”
