The 2012 Nordic Championships will be played at Easter Weekend in Liepaja, Latvia at the new indoor Eternite courses.

The Nordic Championship is played every second year and has in later years been played preferably indoors at Easter time. Also more countries have been participating year by year and new this year is that also Russia and Poland are invited.

The tournament will be registered at WMF as official tournament between national teams, but is of course by no means an official WMF international championship. But it will be part of the calculations of the WMF ranking lists.

Since the tournament is played with both general classes as well s juniors and seniors its quite popular amongst the players since it is the one of the only tournament where all the age classes are together from one country in the same place.
