The most respected minigolf players of the 2011 season, according to our public vote, are 1. Filiph Svensson (SWE), 2. Walter Erlbruch (GER), 3. Harald Erlbruch (GER), 4. Carl-Johan Ryner (SWE), 5. Marco Henning (GER), 6. Lars Brown (SWE) and 7. Günter Inmann (AUT).

Our 10 expert voters saw the situation a bit differently, ranking the seven best players of the season as 1. Walter Erlbruch (GER), 2. Filiph Svensson (SWE), 3. Harald Erlbruch (GER), 4. Marco Henning (GER), 5. Dennis Kapke (GER), 6. Carl-Johan Ryner (SWE), and 7. Michael Koziol (GER).

When the results of these two votes are combined, Filiph Svensson receives the honour of Player of the Year 2011 with 13.6% + 9.0 % of the votes, not far ahead of Walter Erlbruch who got 12.3% + 9.4 % of the votes.

The expert vote included these persons: Pasi Aho (FIN), André Campos (POR), Erik Gustavsson (SWE), Manfred Lindmayr (AUT), Paolo Porta (ITA), Claudio Santopietro (ITA), Michael Smith (GBR), Petra Szablikowski (GER), Erik Tiekstra (NED), Lubomir Zontag (SVK).
