Before this weekend’s playing day in the German Bundesliga, Harbenberg had a winning suite of 9 playing days victories in a row. Last time anyone beat the Hardenberg team was Dormagen-Brechten who was beating them with one stroke on felt the 30th of May 2010.
This time Hardenberg was beaten by Arheilgen on eternit in Brilon. 4 of the 6 players in Hardenberg played very good in the tough course and weather but 2 players (Mann with 101 and W Erlbruch with 93) had difficulties. This was enough for the Arheilgen team, where all six players had between 85 and 91, to secure the win by a margin of 9 strokes. Third was Mainz another 3 strokes behind.
Still the Hardenberg team seems to once again be the favorite for the title since the teams behind are beating each other a bit too much. Now the margin to second place Dormagen-Brechten is 9 points.
Table after 3 rounds:
1 Hardenberg-Pötter 1381 28
2 MGC Dormagen-Brechten 1420 19
3 SG Arheilgen 1430 18
4 MGC Mainz 1432 16
5 Bochumer MC 1444 9
6 RMV Berlin 1487 0
In the ladies class the Göttingen ladies have taken the grip of the title by another won playing day and a 4point lead in the table.
Worth noticing are that the Mainz ladies, current defender of the EC-title are struggling a lot to even keep a position in next year’s first Bundesliga.
