This year the Swedish Championship is played in the city of Kalmar in the south east of Sweden. The organization team of the Championship has been working very hard to make the competitions a success. Many interesting initiatives like extra price money, interviews with key players and crew upfront, a special SM-party to be arranged and much more is trying to get the Swedish elite players to participate and feel welcome.

And so far the organizing team has been quite successful with 129 player’s participating this year is quite much bigger than last year. Also there are more top players playing this year, even if many of the star players are still missing.

Now their last initiative was introduced, the official song for the Swedish Championship. This might have been done before, for a Minigolf tournament but it’s to Minigolfnews knowledge a first timer. The song is 3 minutes long and is an original tune called “SM I bangolf 2012” written and performed by Tobias Jonsson, Anders Adelgren and Anneli Axon. The text is in Swedish.
