Today the Swedish Federation launched the first version of a app to be used by the public when visiting the club courses around Sweden. The app that works on both iOS phones and Android Phones is available for download on Appstore and Google Play.
However you will not be able to use the app without visiting any of the courses that have been connected to the system since you need a code to be able to register results. The code is used to keep the session between many phones and is also used to identify the specific results connected to the players for the future.
The main purpose of the app is that the visitors using the app should share their results, photos and comments with their friends on social medias like Facebook and Twitter. This shared records is acting as good marketing for the clubs and their courses and hopefully can attract more players to the courses.
The app will be available at a yearly cost for clubs and private course owners in Sweden and at the moment their is no plan to translate it or sell it to other nations. But if their is a demand from abroad it will be up for discussion.
