Sedona will not be hosting US Open 2009

USPMGA, Executive Vice President, Astra Miglane Stanwyck today announces that the 2009 USPMGA US Open will not be hosted in Sedona as earlier planned. The official reason is financial problems of the hosting course. USPMGA is now looking for new site for the championships that is scheduled to be played 10-11of July. Possible sites according to Astra are Chicago Ridge Park or Hawaiian Rumble and Village in Myrtle Beach.

UPDATE: Besides the change of location also the date will be changed. It is not decided yet what date.

Update on US Open- it is not completely comfirmed but at this point looks like US Open will be held July 10th- 11th on Chicago Ridge Park District Minigolf course in Worth, IL

Astra followed up with a mail today saying that also the date will be changed.
