Rintala takes his first E victory in Rahola

Joni Rintala took the first eternite competition victory of his career in Rahola, in a 5 rounds national tournament on 24 January 2009. His average score 21.20 gives a forecast what to expect at Nordic Championships, which will be played at the same minigolf course on 11-12 April 2009.

Tied second best score in the tournament was 21.80, played by Ari Ahrenberg, Kosti Salonen and Kari Kulmala.

Finland does not have a national team head coach at this moment, as Harry Grönlund resigned from the position after the 2008 season. Whoever will be elected as the new head coach, will have a busy time preparing a team for the Nordic Championships in April 2009.

Thanks Razor, this Putt-Putt photo gallery is a good educational culture shock for our European readers. If we had a featured link of the week, this could be one. The big missing system from WMF rulebook. Any estimates, how many minigolf courses of Putt-Putt standard exist in the world?

Though this has not been updated in quite some time, I had a website of course pictures of many putt-putt courses. Some of the courses have had drastic hole design changes such as Richmond, Lynchburg, etc... But for those who have never seen a putt-putt course, here is a good assortment of what they look like. http//ncppa.itgo.com I plan on trying to update the course pictures this year if I have the time and incorporate them into http://www.proputters.com somehow.
