Big Surprises at Austrian Bundesliga

Austria 01 Mar 2009 at 19:52 | Published by: bub74 | Views: 7620 | News search

Big Surprises at Austrian Bundesliga The second Matchday had 2 big surprises. First was the win of Rot-Gold at women teams. The Heschl family and 'Grande Dame' Elsa Kammerer took a surprise win in Eferding to move up to second place in the total standings. Lisa Berger-Rella lead her team (Knittelfeld) with womens bestscore of 88 to the 2nd place, so that Knittelfeld remains the big favourite for the championship 2009.

Second surprise and even bigger one was done by the young boys of Steyr. The took the opportunity, seeing the big teams in some struggles, and ended up first. Bischofshofen remains in the lead with a second place today. The title defender WAT21 had a very bad day and but saved 3rd place, not to loose important points in the gold medal race. Nevertheless WAT21 had the best two players of the day in their team. Heinz Weber played 85 and the hungarian player Csaba Palinkas outplayed all the austrians with a 81.
