Maximum points for Putter Team Odense

Denmark 20 Apr 2009 at 22:11 | Published by: Ole | Views: 7645 | News search

Maximum points for Putter Team Odense The defending Danish champions from Putter Team Odense opened the new season of the national league with a maximum score of 10 points as the first of four competition weekends was played at the concrete courses of Odense Minigolf Club.

Last year’s bronze winner Aalborg Mingolf Klub (Johnny Andersen, Stephanie Dallinger, Kåre Thomsen and Allan Schwab) came in second with 8 points which was 2 points ahead of last year’s silver medallists of Minigolf Clubben Gelsted (John Hansen, Jakob Petersen, Jannick Skov and Lars Rosenquist).
These three teams will without doubt be the sharpest competitors for the Danish championship.

Putter Team Odense was forced to make a substitution two days before the competition as Jan Lyø had to cancel his participation. However, his stand-in, the young Casper Frederiksen, played very convincingly, making a strong impression on his coach; Heino Nielsen, and his team mates, Anders Grønnegaard, Erling Jensen and Mads Nørregaard.

The 3 best players of this weekend’s 5 rounds was Mads Nørregaard, 148, Anders Grønnegaard, 153 and Erling Jensen, 154, all of them from Putter Team Odense.

In the second round Anders Grønnegaard set a fantastic new course record. He played a round of 22 which was 2 strokes better than the 13 years old record played at the European Championships in 1996. Congratulations for Anders Grønnegaard.

The next competition weekend will take place in 3 weeks at the eternit course of Nord-Als Minigolf Klub.

The shots on 6 and 10 was about 1-2cm from the hole, and as you know Pasi, lane 17 is not one of the most difficult courses, so it could might as well have been a 19 :) but of course it also takes alot of luck to ace 3,4,9 and 16 in one round. We actually played a team average on 27,75 in that round. That is very seldom on that course I can tell.

And yes, seems like we have recovered pretty well :) hehe.
1,2,3,5 in the individual ranking is pretty convincing I think :) unfortunately Allan Schwab spoiled the total dominans of Putter Team as he sneaked into 4th place :) hehe

Anders Grønnegaard played the incredible 22 with a 2 on: 6, 7, 10 and 17.
The put on 17 was no shorter than 5 meters so he really deserved the 22.
Anders played with Ole Rasmussen who said that all shots was played perfectly – no luck there.
Anders will receive a diploma and a check for minigolf equipment for his effort.
At the same time a copy of the diploma will be placed in Odense Minigolf Club for all to see.

Mads and Freddy seem to have recovered well from the hard Sunday night in Tampere. Well done too!

22 there is really not bad, it's sheer unbelievable! Well done Anders. Which lanes did he miss? I bet for 6, 7, 16 and as surprise unlucky 2 on the lane 3.
