Last Thursday, on Ascension Day, MGC Leeuwarden organized their annual tournament. Just like last year it was Lolke Folkertsma (Appelscha) who took the gold.

Lolke, former player of MGC Leeuwarden, needed a sudden death with former senior European champion Henk Goris (De Putters). Both had a total of 94 strokes after rounds on the eternite course. It was Roelof Eizinga of MGC Geldrop who took the bronze with 97 strokes.

The winner in the womens category was national team player Ingrid v/d Laan (Leeuwarden) with 99 strokes. But she was beaten by senior lady Thea Staalstra (Leeuwarden) with 97 strokes. The winner in the mens senior category was Jan Engels (Venray) with 96 strokes just ahead of Mees Bouwman (De Putters) with 98 strokes.
