The Gottfrieds finish on top at Manchester Mini Open

Richard Gottfried and his wife Emily Gottfried took the first two places at Manchester Mini Open on 25 July 2009, at Playgolf adventure golf course in Manchester, Great Britain. The not actually star-studded competition attracted 5 juniors and 7 adults to play three rounds at this 9-hole course (27 holes total).

Richard Gottfried won the tournament with average score 29.00 (3.22 points per hole). Emily Gottfried was second with average 30.00 (3.33 points per hole), after winning the play-off against Paul Johnson in tied score.

The best junior player was Fraser McNeil, just one point behind Emily and Paul. Owen Johnson was second best junior, 3 points behind Fraser, and the third junior to have patience to finish the entire tournament was Lewis Peacock, 10 points behind Owen.
