Sunday March the 28th the Dutch league starts with a match on the eternit course of Spoordonk. This is the same course where the European Cup 2004 was played.

The Dutch league is this year completely renewed. This year they will play with five players and the highest score will be skipped every round. Besides that there will be 8 teams in the league. The teams will include, besides Appelscha 1, Geldrop 1, Zoetermeer 1 and De Putters 1 (Bennekom), also after several years of absence Hole Ridders (Ridderkerk), Duno (Doorwerth), Geldrop 2 and Leeuwarden 1.

The favorites for the title will be Geldrop 1 and Zoetermeer. Defending champion Appelscha has lost their star of last year Huub Bottenberg, who went back to his former club Drachten. Leeuwarden 1 will be the outsider with players like Ingrid v/d Laan, Annie Jasper and Ernst-Jan Meijer. The league is played over six weekends: 2 matches on Swedish felt, 2 matches on beton and 2 matches on eternit.
