Austria wins Senior NC Austria 1 won the Seniors nations cup by beating home team Czech Repulic 1 by only one stroke.

In the final the Czech team took a firm grip on the eternit course and was leading by seven strokes after a 114-121 round. But on the beton the Austrian team started to win point-by-point by to the home team and in the end there where one stroke ahead. And when the Austrian closer Reinhard Schuster managed to ace the last lane they had a 1 stroke victory.

Otherwise this was a competition where the home players of the Czech Republic was quite dominating. Their teams was 1,4,5 and 8 in the qualifications and was 2,3,5 and 8 after the matchplay. Also indivudually the Czech players where on top with 7 players in the top 11 amongst the mens and best and second best amonst the ladies.

Best individually on the mens side was German veteran Karl-Heinz Gewert (294) before Francesco Leuci of Italy on (297) and Jaroslav Rehak of Czech Republic on (305).

Best individually on the ladies side was Jana Necekalova of Czech Republic (322) before team mate Dagmar Hirschmannova (323) and Johanna Knotzer of Austria on (327).

The final was played first on eternite and Austria lost 6 strokes. Then on congrete they won point by point and so finally the Austrian Team was able to beat the Czech Team with only 1 stroke.
