Switzerland 28 Jun 2010 at 22:53 | Published by: omaggi | Views: 9052 | News search

MC Effretikon and MC Olten Swiss Team Champions For the third consecutively year the MC Effretikon (EuropaCup Winner 2009 )in the ladies category and MC Olten in the men’s category wins the Swiss Team Championship and therefore are qualified for the EC in Wien at the end of September.

After having played in Olten (Miniatur) and in Romanshorn (Concrete) before, this weekend the last two days was played on the felt course in Gampel.

The weather during the all weekend was absolutely fantastic and the temperature was always more the 30 degrees.

On Saturday 4 rounds was played and in the ladies category the game was already then decided. MC Effretikon won also these 4 rounds and so they became Swiss Championship already on Saturday.

The battle for the second and third place was played by MC Neuendorf and MC Olten. After other 3 rounds on Sunday, MC Neuendorf reached the second position and that’s also means the qualification for the EC in Wien, because MC Effretikon is last year’s winner.

The “Magic” Team for Saturday was:
1. Wicki Esther (MC Effretikon) 127
2. Wicki Sandra (MC Effretikon) 130
3. Weber Rebecca (MC Effretikon) 135

Sunday:

2. Wicki Sandra (MC Effretikon) 98
3. Blaser Melanie (MC Olten) 102

In the men’s category the battle for the winning was between MC Olten, MC Eichholz Gerlafingen and MC Neuendorf.

But already in the beginning it was clear that MC Neuendorf was not able to play as well as the other 2 teams.

MC Olten played an almost perfect tournament, in fact they won 6 rounds of 7 and so MC Eicholz Gerlafingen could only reached the second place.

On Sunday Michel Rhyn played a blue score. The former World and European Champion player of MC Olten played a incredible 25 in the second round (new course record) and did 83 in 3 rounds (30 / 25 / 28 )!

The best “team round” was played by MC Olten on the 7th round with a wonderful 176 in 6 players.

The “Magic” Team for Saturday was:
1. Zaugg Remo (MC Olten) 116
2. Hofer Samuel (MC Gerlafingen) 119
3. Spescha Vitus (MC Olten) 123
4. Gygax Marcel (MC Olten) 125
5. Kaiser Martin (MC Grenchen) 125
6. Rhyn Michel (MC Olten) 127
7. Will Markus (MC Gerlafingen) 127

Sunday:
1. Rhyn Michel (MC Olten) 83
2. Kaiser Martin (MC Grenchen) 86
3. Hofer Samuel (MC Gerlafingen) 87
4. Zaugg Remo (MC Olten) 88
5. Lödding Kai (MC Gerlafingen) 94
6. Zuberbühler Gerhard (EC Bern-Enge) 94
7. Cadosch Roger (EC Bern-Enge) 94

This weekend were also played the Swiss Team Championship Liga B and Liga C.

In the Liga B, on the concrete course in Wohlen Bunzmatt, in the ladies categories was won by EC Bern-Enge and in the men by MC Amriswil.

In the Liga C, on the concrete course in Wohlen Büelisacker, the victory went in the woman category by MC Rüeschegg - Grizzlybär and in the men by MC Büelisacker.

Compliments to Olten and Effretikon, in Italy the championships go to MC MONZA (male teams) and to GSP CUSANO (female); the Italia league (4 days during the season) goes to GSP VERGIATE (male) and to GSP CUSANO (female), they will play EC 2011 in Vergiate.
I sent an article and a picture to staff@minigolfnews.com
