Championnats de France

France 07 Jul 2010 at 15:16 | Published by: gregisback | Views: 7927 | News search

Championnats de France Last weekend the French Championship was played in Torreilles (10km near Perpignan in the south of France). The tournament was played on eternit course in very hot weather conditions.

In the men's category Philippe Lheritier (Lugdu) won by a great margin in front of Clement Valois (Lugdu) and Gregoire Mangier (Minigolf Club du Centre). Philippe also scored the best average in the tournament with 23,0.

In the ladies category Valerie Queneau won her 26th French Championship for Dijon. Behind Valerie in the silver position came Coralie Fournier (Rhodanien) and Katia Raynal was third (from Torreilles).

In senior 1, the fight was intense for the title with a sudden death between Jean-Marie Gauthier (Mulhouse) and Gilles Raynal (Torreilles) which won the title for the organizing club. In the same time, a second sudden death took place for the third place between Jean-Pierre Gonthier (Lons) and Joseph Sanchez (Torreilles) which the local player left still victorious.

In senior 2, the title was acquired by a local player once again: Michel Achin in front of Guy Thibault (Rhodanien) and Marc Bonnet (Rillieux).

For the junior, the category was dominated by the players from Rilliards Club with Guillaume Cravedi at the head in front of Axel Tedeschi and Pierrick Colliard.

During the same competition, the 7 first turns count for the French Team Championship. It is without dispute that the new Lyon's club of Lugdu was crowned Champion of France with Philippe Lheritier, Clement Valois, Remy Vallin (who was the reigning champion of France) and Alexandre Pelletier.

They largely preceded their competitors: Rillieux in the second place with Damien Bourcier, Marc Bonnet, Guillaume Cravedi and Pierrick Colliard and Torreilles in the third place made up of Gilles Raynal, Michel Achin, Joseph Sanchez and Katia Raynal.

The best single round (20) was played by 4 players: Philippe Lheritier, Clement Valois, Gilles Raynal and Michel Achin.
