A strong Teamgeist in Wolnzach

Germany 23 Jan 2008 at 13:32 | Published by: JJM | Views: 8073 | News search

A strong Teamgeist in Wolnzach Alexander Geist and Markus Obeth took the first place at Wolnzach Hallenmasters pairs competition (indoor eternite), with a minimal margin of one point to four other teams.

Geist was the best player of the weekend, with an average score 21.00 (21 22 18 21 23). His pair Obeth tried hard to donate their first prize away to others, but no one accepted the offer.

Willi Helmschmidt & Bernhard Blöckl survived the play-off to take the second prize, and Peter Eisenberger & Peter Weiland landed third in the competition. Still with the same score, one point behind winner, the fourth place went to Reiner Weinberger & Pasi Aho, and the fifth place to Bernhard Lindner & Uwe Grimme.

The best female players of the weekend were Claudia Weinzierl and Jutta Fölkl, both with an average score 24.20. The competition for club teams of 4+1 players went to MGC Ingolstadt, one point before BGC Neutraubling in second place, and 7 points before MGC Murnau in third place.

Wolnzach Hallenmasters was played on a temporary eternite course, made of less expensive materials than regular competition courses.
