We think it would be appropriate to separate the Adventure golf with golf ball

Can be totally different, if the course has walls from which to bounce the special balls. Less so when the course does not have playable walls, and the soft carpet kills the rolling force of fast special balls.\r\n\r\nAny ideas for the name of \"adventure golf with golf ball\" and \"adventure golf with special balls\"? In the best case, a name that begins with some letter not already reserved for other purposes.\r\n\r\nadventure golf = (golf ball or special balls?)\r\ngarden golf = (golf ball or special balls?)\r\nputting golf?

We think (the Czech players), that would be separated for good, that they will not ask the organizers, what type of ball to play.\r\nThank you for your understanding

Unfortunately, the letter P is already occupied. We use the name Putt golf

Tomorrow I will update our system to use these abbreviations, unless better or disagreeing opinions arise before that:\r\n\r\n----------\r\n\r\nMinigolf courses with a HARD playing surface (concrete, etc.):\r\n\r\nB = \"beton\", \"Bongni minigolf\"\r\nE = \"eternite\" (WMF standard)\r\nT5 = \"T5000\"\r\nCB = \"Cobigolf\"\r\nST = \"Sterngolf\"\r\nFM = \"fantasy minigolf\", \"freestyle minigolf\" = ANY OTHER minigolf course with a hard playing surface\r\n\r\n----------\r\n\r\nMinigolf courses with a SOFT playing surface (felt carpet, etc.):\r\n\r\nF = \"felt\" (WMF standard)\r\nDF = \"Dutch felt\"\r\nPP = \"Putt-Putt\"\r\nFF = \"fantasy felt\", \"freestyle felt\" = other felt courses with a regular wooden frame\r\nA = \"adventure golf\" = non-symmetric courses in natural style, played with minigolf balls\r\nP = \"putting golf\", \"puttgolf\", \"pro minigolf\" = non-symmetric courses in natural style, played with golf balls only\r\nFG = \"fantasy golf\" = ANY OTHER minigolf course with a soft playing surface\r\n\r\n----------\r\n\r\nSpecial competitions, unrelated to the type of minigolf course:\r\n\r\nCR = multi-ball crazy golf

I would like to add\r\n\r\nGiM = \"Golf in Miniature\". Golf like courses of artificial grass played with golf ball only, with our without frames as course boundraries.

I would see it useful to define separately:\r\n- a course type where bouncing the ball from regular walls can potentially be a useful element in the game\r\n- a course type where bouncing the ball from walls cannot be an essential regular element in the game\r\n\r\nI would like to hear comments from other experts of this style of minigolf, Olofsson for example.

For playability, I cannot see what the difference is between artificial grass and equally fast soft felt or other soft carpet.\r\n\r\nCourse design makes a big difference, for example the City-Golf trend of doglegs without a direct route to hole, versus the more typical putting course design with a wide route to hole, versus my preferred style of very narrow direct route to hole. These three options are very different to play.

I would say that the difference between artificial grass and felt is bigger than between eternite and beton. Your statements John make me wonder if you ever have played on artificial grass?
