OK, but accidentally you helped me to remember how the midhill shot works on eternite.

I was referring to the video in the first posting, where they played the flash on felt.

Fredrik Persson had 4,3,4 on the flash on Felt at the Swedish Championship and thought it was time to practice a new design. He didnt use this on competition though \r\n\r\nhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL63ZJb_FkU&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fkungalvsbgk%2Ese%2Fsmintervjuer%2Ehtm&feature=player_embedded \r\n\r\n

By the way, I always wanted to make a Harlem Globeputter video of the midhill on eternite, playing it from left corner to left wall, then to the right back corner of the \"green\" (in middle of the lane, some 50 cm behind the hole), and from there to hole.\r\n\r\nI once tested it with Beck & Meth K3r, it was quite close with only a few test shots, so it should go in with more test shots. Camera ready... Take number #28... Go!

This same line has been tested in Turku, Finland this year. Or actually it touches also the border on the left before ending up to the hole. With decent shots and good weather conditions you can ace the hole more than 50%!\r\n\r\n\r\n\"Borders are for insecure players!\" -JV-\r\n\r\n

Where in Turku can you test the midhill of eternite?\r\n\r\nBut you are right, I had totally forgotten that the shot actually goes like this:\r\nleft corner spot => left wall => over the hill => right corner of the round green on midhill (on right side of the lane) => left corner of the round green on midhill (on left side of the lane) => hole. A cool playing line, I hope that somebody will make a video of this.\r\n\r\nWith an aggressive shot and some right spin, it should be possible to get also directly to hole from the right corner of green. The ball will start bouncing restlessly, but with some luck a shot could stay on the lane and go to hole.

Take Beck & Meth K3r, or some other ball that is a bit too slow for wall play at Lightning. You will have problems with the ball jumping out of the lane, but a good ball with a good force should stay on the lane 50% of the time.

On second thought, the shot should be played from right corner to left wall (or from left corner to right wall). This will give sharper angles, so you can use a slower ball, which is helpful to avoid bouncing out of the lane.
