For that, we have to go back in the history.
In the Netherlands were in the sixties end seventies two different minigolf federations: for each system was a seperate federation and both were licensed to the IBGV (now WMF). Each federation had their own clubs and they played only on their own system and organised their own competition.
Players who wanted to play on both systems had to be member of two different clubs. In 1980 both minigolf federations started to work together and they made one federation. The clubs stayed at their own system and played their own competition. So the players had still to go to an other club if the players wanted to play the other system and at the moment that is still the case.
The board made regulations for this system. Players can still play for two digfferent clubs because the competitions are not played....
