Name : John Mittler Member since : 13 Nov 2008 Number of posts : 365 Status : Offline | Posted : 08 Aug 2009 at 13:58 If Odense plans to use player photos in the results service (which is possible to activate or turn off in the Finnish system), I can give some valuable tips:\r\n\r\nLearn how to make small image files with a photo editor:\r\n- In Tampere 2008 results the player photos were 2 kb, which makes 200 kb for 100 players shown on one web page.\r\n- In Lamego the photos are between 8 kb and 36 kb, and the total size of all 99 player photos is 1.2 MB on one web page. This makes the results page load quite slowly, as it re-loads all photos when refreshing the page.\r\n\r\nIt is possible to add grey border around the photos, either in photo editor, or by making the photos in 63 x 63 px size and adding 1 px border in HTML code of the results software.

I wonder what we would see from less experienced felt players.
