Yesterday, the second round of the Dutch premier league (LHK) was played at the felt course of Appelscha. If you have a look at last years results, it was no big surprise that Zoetermeer won this round today.

The first round was a narrow escape for Zoetermeer with 126 stroes just before Appelscha 2 with 127 strokes. Dutch Champions of 2008, Appelscha 1 and former champion Geldrop started with some higher scores (143 and 144) putting them far behind the leaders. In this round the first two subtitutes were presented. Already after 2 lanes Appelscha 1 changed their player and after 6 lanes it was Geldrop to do the same.

During the second round Geldrop fought back with a round of 115 strokes just before Zoetermeer with 119 strokes. The third round was prey for Zoetermeer with a score of 123 strokes. After this round it was clear they would not give away their lead.

Appelscha 1 and Geldrop struggled to become 2nd. Geldrop had 4 strokes less after the third round but lost the last round (139-121) putting them back to 3rd place.

Best player of the weekend was Jos Vlasveld (Zoetermeer) with a total of 116 shots (29.00 average).
