Golf, the big brother of minigolf, hopes to join Olympic Games in 2016.\r\n\r\nThe proposed rules for the tournament are strokeplay 4 rounds (72 holes), as is typical for professional tournaments. In Olympic style the rules include play-off (over 3 holes, and then sudden death if necessary) for the 3 first positions, the \"medal positions\". Normally golf competitions arrange a play-off for a tied first place only, not for tied 2nd or 3rd place.\r\n\r\nHere is a page with all possible information about the topic:\r\n\r\nhttp://www.pgatour.com/r/golf_olympics_archive/index.html

Yesterday Tiger Woods won golf world championships (one of the four different \"world championships\" that are arranged in golf every year, and which are less important than the four \"majors\"):\r\n\r\nhttp://www.pgatour.com/leaderboards/current/r476/index.html \r\n\r\n4 rounds strokeplay, 1.4 million dollars.
