Last Sunday the last 4 rounds of the Portuguese National Championship was played in Vizela. There was a lot of protests against the National Federation’s decision of playing in a beton course that was just ready three days before the competition and some players dropped outs from start. Dispite this it was a sunny day and the championship was played and the Champions was decided.
The most memoarable moment was played by Pedro Todo Bom and João Oliveira in the class of male youths. With 5 strokes of advantage Pedro played a 6 on lane 17 and João played a 1. With everything drawn both aced the last lane and a play-off had to be played. With the highest political responsible for the sports in Portugal watching it, Pedro stroke a 3 on the first lane and no one expected more than 2 from João, but the impossible happened and João also missed a easy shot. Everything was solved on lane 4 when João played a 5 and Pedro just 2.
This was the fifth title for the Clube Minigolfe do Porto during this weekend, the other four were won by Vizelgolfe, the home team.
The big winner, was one more time André Manuel, who used the last four rounds to increase the diference to the second place.
