Jay Klapper won the 4000 USD first prize of Minigolf US Masters 2011, after tied score and sudden death play-off against Olivia Prokopová of Czech Republic. With his victory of this USPMGA title, Jay Klapper became the third player in history who holds a national champion title of both two American minigolf federations, USPMGA and PPA.

Klapper won PPA national championships in 2005, and now US Masters in 2011. Previous players who have conquered the top of PPA and USPMGA national championships are Brad Lebo (PPA 2006, US Masters 2008) and Greg Newport (PPA 2010, US Masters 2009). Also Kevin Lacey holds PPA national champion title 2008 and USPMGA US Open title 2009.

Olivia Prokopová of Czech Republic was 2nd at US Masters for the second year in a row, after a disappointing loss in the sudden death play-off against Klapper, and still keeps hunting the honour of becoming the first lady to win Minigolf US Masters. (Olivia already has won Minigolf US Open as the first woman, earlier this year.)

Randy Reeves was 3rd in the competition, 6 points behind Klapper and Olivia, in tied points with the defending champion of 2010, Ricard Lockner of Sweden.

Minigolf US Masters is organized annually by US Pro Minigolf Association at two 18-hole adventure golf courses in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA. The tournament is played with a golf ball only, no minigolf balls. The first prize has been growing steadily in recent years, and rumours tell that the prize money will again grow significantly for next year’s competition.
