A new dimension in Minigolf

The American company Sphero has launched what could maybe be a new dimension to Golf and Minigolf. Its a ball that is also a robot that could be controlled by a smart phone or similar device.

The most obvious use is for leisure and sports, but it can also be an interesting technology to be used in other areas.

The company is listed by the American website Business Insider as one of the 20 most innovative start ups in 2011.

The first balls will be for sale on the American market in December 2011.

Seriously, does anybody want to turn minigolf into a Nintendo game? I do not think so. Then device like this can hardly make it into the minigolf rules as an approved ball. (Just my five eurocents.)
