Eight Countries to Battle in Minigolf European Cup 2016

Neutraubling, Germany - The Minigolf European Cup 2016 for club teams will be held September 29 through October 1 at the Minigolfcenter Neutraubling. Known as the "Champions League of Minigolf" 95 players will be representing teams from 8 countries as they battle to put their club team on the top of the podium. There will also be 35 coaches and officials at the tournament, bringing the participation count to well over 100 for this event.
Everything is in place for an excellent late in the season tournament as the conditions for play are perfect with fine weather and a great atmosphere among the teams. Teams will compete on Thursday and Friday to earn their qualifying spots in the final Saturday rounds. Teams are already at the course practicing for what will be an intense and close competition.
Pasi Aho, tournament officer, has this to say about the coming tournament, "The best minigolf teams in Europe have been practising since last weekend in best conditions and beautiful autumn weather. It will be very exciting to see if the title holders MGC Mainz, Germany (women) and Uppsala BGK, Sweden (men) can retain their titles or if the challengers will take the trophies home. We are expecting excitement till the very last moments of the competition."
The tournament is promoted by the European Minigolf Sport Federation, which is a part of the World Minigolf Sport Federation. The European Minigolf Sport Federation (EMF) is the umbrella organization of 36 Minigolf sport associations Europe-wide.
The World Minigolf Sport Federation (WMF) is the umbrella organization of 62 Minigolf sports association's worldwide with continental associations in Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. There are more than 38,000 competitive minigolf players registered with the WMF via the 62 member nations, with 900-plus clubs between them. Over 1,000 courses are approved for official competitions and around 1,500 minigolf tournaments held each year.
