Happy Halloween and #minigolfmonday!
Over the past few years Halloween has become one holiday that has paired very well with miniature golf. Many courses have put into place Halloween inspired events during October, some to raise money for charity while others help to extend the minigolf season. One course in Connecticut, USA used to focus on doing their event at the course at night, turning off the lights and letting people try to putt through added Halloween obstacles and creepy live actors! The first link below shows a new course that is taking this same path for a few putting scares. Our second link below highlights a charity event as students from Carlynton High School in Pennsylvania, USA donated time and ideas to spruce up a local minigolf course for Halloween. Their event will raise funds for the student government there.
The Halloween/monster theme has also extended beyond a one time event and into a whole business theme for one company. Monster Mini Golf, which started in Connecticut, USA, is now one of the largest indoor, blacklight minigolf companies in the US. Each of their locations pulls together paintings, animations and themed music to keep people in the Halloween mood all year round. They've even partnered with KISS, who themselves could be easily associated with Halloween, for a massive course in Las Vegas - proving that minigolf can be a rockstar sport! You can learn more about them in the link below.
We hope everyone enjoys the night of ghosts and ghouls!
