The first Open San José Clinic mini-golf tournament was held in the interiors of Parque Brasil on March 24th. The event was organized by MGG Business production company and sponsored by the San José Clinic.
This event was free for any participant interested in playing and participants were provided balls and clubs. In total, 30 people of all ages participated in the event, which featured one circuit of the 9 hole course. The top 5 players from that round then went on to play a final round to determine a winner of the event. The winner was Daniel Quintana who finished the final round with 29 strokes. Scores from the preliminary round were as follows:
1° DANIEL QUINTANA - 22
2° ALEJANDRO ROJAS - 26
3° MAURICIO JARA - 27
4° MICHELL AGUILO - 28
5° BENJAMIN ALVAREZ - 31
April 3rd also saw the start of minigolf academies at the following schools: SAN JORGE, ARICA COLLEGE AND COLEGIO SAUCACHE DE ARICA, all directed by Mario Godoy Jr.
