The IOC Recognizes AIMS With A Unanimous Decision

WMF 13 Jan 2020 at 12:55 | Published by: PatPenguin | Views: 1688 | News search

The IOC Recognizes AIMS With A Unanimous Decision The World Minigolf Sport Federation (WMF) has long been a member of the Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS). On January 12, 2020 it was announced that AIMS is now a fully recognized International Olympics Committee (IOC) umbrella group.

AIMS president Stephan Fox writes to all AIMS members: "Today was a triumphant day for our AIMS Family, as today 10th January 2020, history was made.

We are one family and I would sincerely like to thank all members of the AIMS Council for all your dedicated work and certainly for your trust. We will now meet in Lausanne and for the next few days focus on the next steps ahead.

It was a proud moment for all of us when Mr. Kit McConnell praised the AIMS family for all our work and where the IOC President encouraged us to continue our work and our path acknowledging the good work done towards sport and society. Let us toast to the AIMS family, to all our sports and athletes and for this historical achievement. Congratulations and let us together make 2020 another eventful year of prosperity and success."
