Ephraim, Wisconsin - The Red Putter Mini Golf will hold its first ever NON-Tournament this year between August 1st and August 8th.
Bob always said "Safety First!" and that's what echoed in the minds of Tracy and Chris Opper when they made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 Red Putter Pro Tournament that would have been held August 1st. Bob Yttri, well known Putter Proprietor, began the Pro Tournament in 2002 along with his daughter and son-in-law who have been carrying on Putter traditions since Bob's passing in 2017.
"We really didn't want to cancel, but we went over every scenario and just couldn't see a way to safely run a tournament this year" said Chris Opper. So, in lieu of the Pro Tournament, The Red Putter will hold a week long NON-Tournament. Golfers who sign up will play 3 rounds in a row anytime between August 1st and August 8th. The best 3 round score at the end of the week earns bragging rights forever. This NON-Tournament will have no cash prizes, no trophies, and no donuts. There will be no shotgun start, no red jacket and no chicken dinner, well, maybe one chicken dinner. Winner winner earns a chicken dinner, or meal of their choice with a Mink River Basin gift card!
The 2021 Red Putter Pro Tournament is planned for Saturday, August 7th. Anyone who has qualified for the Pro Board will retain their status and be eligible to play in the 2021 Pro Tournament.
