The latest statistics published by Eurostat reveal that Tampere
is the 8th most rainy city in European Union,
thanks to its location on a hill
between two big lakes.
Tampere gets some rain on 249 days of the year
— the chance for rain is 68%.
The only places in Europe that get even more rain than Tampere,
are 2 cities in Germany (Halle a.d. Saale and Köln) and
5 cities on the British isles (Glasgow, Cork,
Derry, Manchester and Galway).
