A new law in United States, which was released for public review on 17 June 2008,
will guarantee not only “justice for all”, but also minigolf for all.
The new, updated version of a law called “Americans with Disabilities Act”
will require that at least 50% of the lanes at a minigolf course must be easily accessible
with a wheelchair. If not, then the course must be closed from public.
Other new requirements in this law include installing the light switches in hotel rooms
15 cm lower than before, to be more easily reachable for wheelchair users. Courtrooms and
auditoriums must install a wheelchair lift to the stage,
which often has been accessible by steep stairs only.
