Kovilyaev is Russian champion 2008

Junior player Sergey Kovilyaev took gold at Russian championships 2008,
played in Moscow at the eternite course of Russian State University of Sports.
His average score was
26.14
in the competition of 7 rounds.
Defending champion Sergey Fokin got silver,
after a sudden death play-off against Kirill Teterev.
Fokin and Teterev lost 3 points to the winner, with average score
26.57.
Victor Zhabin was fourth in men, with average
27.29.
Russian champion 2008 in women’s competition is Olesya Trofimchik,
with average score
29.43.
Silver went to Natalia Venchikova
(average 30.00),
and bronze to Tatiana Chesnova after a tied score and play-off with
Tatiana Selivanova.

The tournament was organized by Russian Golf Association,
in cooperation with Russian Minigolf Association.
The competition was open for foreign players:
the special prize for the best foreign player went
to Vasil Brateyko of Ukraine, who ranked 9th in men’s competition.
The course record for this new eternite course was set at
23 points,
played by Victor Zhabin and Kirill Teterev.
