Jana voted female junior of the year 2008 Our website visitors voted Jana Nakládalová of Czech Republic as female junior of the year 2008. She was the best player of preliminary rounds at Juniors World Championships 2008, 5th best at Juniors Nations Cup, and 16th at European Championships of adults.

The second place in this public vote went to young Czech player Olivia Prokopová, who was the most active and successful junior of the year in MOS competitions around the world, 6th at Juniors Nations Cup, and 11th in preliminary rounds of Juniors World Championships 2008.

Anna Nitschke of Germany was voted third best female junior of the year. Her 2008 season includes German champion title in schoolgirls category (with a better score than the winner of older juniors had), 3rd best player of preliminary rounds at Juniors World Championships 2008, and 5th best at Juniors Nations Cup.

The fourth place in the All Stars team 2008 goes to Frida Elmdahl of Sweden. Her impressive season included 1st place in Swedish junior championships, best female player of Juniors Nations Cup, and 2nd best player of preliminary rounds at Juniors World Championships 2008.

Karin Heschl, winner of the cup finals of Juniors World Championships 2008, was voted 5th best player of the year, and bronze medalist Simona Handlová was voted 7th best. Silver medalist Jennifer Helm (14th best in preliminary rounds) was not included in this limited vote of 10 pre-nominated players.

Thank you very much Astra..For me it was the first time when I went somewhere with no team and with no coach.. I was really nervous because of it..but thanks to you too it was very nice tournament for me. Hope to see you in Odense ;-)
