Bertel and Gruber win Bundesländercup

Last weekend the Bundesländercup was played in Bad Vöslau, Austria. The competition is partly a Team competition where the regions of Austria competes with 3 or 6 man teams against each others, but it's also a individual competition with Junior, Ladies and Man classes. In total 72 players competed.
In the Mens class it was a really tight competition with 5 first positions within 2 strokes. The winner was Jürgen Bertel of Post SV Wien. He played a consistens game of 20, 20, 19, 20, 20, 20. and was the only player on a blue average. Tied second came Rubert Westenthaler, ASKÖ MGC Bischofshofen and Manfred Lindmayer, BGC Wien. Both were 1 stroke behind.
In the ladies class the winner was Elisabeth Gruber, BGSC Raiba Leobersdorf. She scored 20,3 in average and was only 3 strokes from the men winner. She won the ladies class by one stroke before Birgit Heschl, BGCU Rot Gold.
In the juniors class (mixed girls and boys) the winner was Thomas Obertaxer, MGC ATUS Knittelfeld, on 21,8 in average. In second position came Jacqueline Helm, Polizei SV Steyr, only beaten by one stroke.
In the regional team competition Niederösterreich 1 won the juniors 3 man teams, Oberösterreich won the 3 man ladies teams and Wien won the 6 man mens team.
