Turkey and Northern Cyprus have taken another step to be a Minigolf nation.
Victor Condeço and Anabela Pereira, of Portugal, held a two days session with around 60 participants. This happened in a new course held in a University in the Northern Cyprus. The participants were the i.e. the head of the Northern Cyprus University Sports Federation, sports teachers from Turkey, teachers from Cyprus and students. They were taught both theoretical and practical things. The program was constituted by four hours of theory, two hours of practice. Partly the practice was held inside due to a strong wind outside but there were also classes outside. The session ended with a small Minigolf tournament on the second day.
Ebru Atalay, from Turkey, showed great gratitude to the WMF board and especially to Victor and Anabela for sponsoring this event. As a next step Turkey are now interested in international participations during 2009, but also in having certificated teachers and coaches.
