Olympisky Dagomis won the final of Russian Team Cup 2009, at the non-standard beton course of Sochi. The team of Olympisky Dagomis included Pasi Aho, Tatiana Chesnova, Sergei Fokin and Sergei Kovilyaev. (WMF Youth Officer Pasi Aho was inspecting the course for Juniors World Championships 2010 application, and was invited to play the competition in the local team.)

Sergey Kovilyaev was clearly the best player in individual competition, with average 26.33 in 6 rounds. Pasi Aho and Victor Kozlov were second best, with average 28.00.

The best female players were Tatiana Chesnova (average 29.17), Siranush Balasanyan and Natalia Venchikova (both with average 31.33).

Pasi Aho has given positive comments about the non-standard beton course in Sochi, estimating it to be quite similar in nature to beton minigolf generally, even if the lane types look a bit different.

Thank you, Pasi, for your comments. It was a very useful for Russian minigolfers to see your play on this unique beton MOS course.
All minigolfers are welcome to Sochi - the best minigolf resort in Russia! We'll indeed have a big traditional MinigolfSochiOpen-2009 on 8-11th of October with money prize fund. And ALL participants will have special presents and gifts from our hotel and winners - from sponsors (ReiffeizenBank, Austrian Airlines, Hertz Rent a car, etc.). It's a very pleasant time in Sochi at this time of year.

Greetings from Frankfurt airport on the way home. In fact it was Sergey Kovalyev who outclassed us others and not Fokin. Sergey also played a fantastic new course record of 23 in round 6. I was tied second with Victor Kozlov, not Sergey... The guys are not all called Sergey! Very well organized event, can recommend Sochi Open in October to anyone!
