Gerwert and Schmid are German senior champions

Karl-Heinz Gerwert won German Senior Championships 2009 in Murnau, at a massive 4-day tournament that included 8 rounds beton and 8 rounds eternite. Gerwert played average score 28.13 on beton and 22.25 on eternite.

Udo Rathje was second in senior men, losing only 2 points to Gerwert with average 29.13 on beton and 21.50 on eternite. Gerwert finished the competition with two 25-rounds on beton, which were too much for Rathje who scored the same rounds 28 and 27.

Bernhard Kreutter was third in senior men, 9 points behind Rathje, with average 28.13 on beton and 23.63 on eternite.

Barbara Schmid took gold in senior women, with average 29.75 on beton and 23.63 on eternite. Ute Rothermel was second, 2 points behind Schmid, with average 30.00 on beton and 23.63 on eternite. Alexandra Wirtz took bronze 3 points behind Rothermel, with average 31.13 on beton and 22.88 on eternite.

Medalists in veterans category were 1. Franz Wagner, 2. Bernd Kunz and 3. Manfred Kalisch. Medalists in female veterans were 1. Brunhilde Rahmlow, 2. Edeltraud Zeller and 3. Doris Schacke.
