This weekend is the restart of the 2009-10 German Bundesliga season. Two rounds are planned to be played before the winter break and the remaining 4 rounds will be planned in the spring and early summer of 2010.

In the men’s league the new team is Tempelhofer MV from Berlin with current German Champion Marco Henning as its biggest name. Otherwise the Teams have almost no changes in the lineups compared with the 08-09 season. This means that once again Hardenberg will be the favorites with Mainz as probable main contenter for the title.

In ladies' league Neutraubling withdrew from the league, since the girls didn't feel motivated enough for playing another season. The new team this season is Cuxhaven. Mainz is the strong favorite in ladies' league with Göttingen behind them.
