The Swedish Championships for club teams with 10+1(men and ladies combined) is a competition with long traditions. All eleven plays but the worst result is not counted for every team per lap. It has been called the "blue ribbon" of Swedish Minigolf and has always been one of the most prestigious Championships to win.
In later years the interest has been vanishing and this year only 7 teams started and of those only three of the 8 Elitserie Teams. Many say that the tournament typically placed in mid September has past its best before date and it’s questioned if it will be played again next year.
The favorites this year was last year’s winners Uppsala, but when the presented their line ups missing stars like CJ Ryner, Marcus Larsson and Charlotte Ryner the field was suddenly more open for other teams. The other participating Elitserie Team of Södertälje had a lineup containing all their best players and also showed in early stages of the competition that they wanted to win this. Uppsala started not good at in the first round on Saturday and was only in 4rd spot after the first day. With better play Uppsala managed to get up onto bronze position when the third Elitserie Team Örebro had a bad day on Sunday dropping to fifth place.
Instead of Uppsala it was more surprisingly the VK 78 team from Gävle that gave the Södertälje team a hard match. The team full of routine from Gävle never let the Södertälje Team out of sight and was as close as 5 shots with only one person left on the course. The closer of Södertälje, Joakim Sundlöf could manage the situation though and gave Södertälje the victory, 12 strokes before VK78. Silver to VK 78 and bronze to Uppsala.
Best individually was 4 players, Thomas Pölder and Anders Wiklund from Uppsala together with Daniel Söderqvist from Fröslunda and Stefan Borg from Sundbyberg, all on 91 strokes on the relatively though course.
