Experience rules in Salzburg

Austria 19 Nov 2007 at 21:10 | Published by: JJM | Views: 7997 | News search

Experience rules in Salzburg Decades of experience was the key to success in Sport Oase Marathon, played at the indoor eternite course of Salzburg, Austria on 17-18 November 2007.

Austrian national team player 1983–1997 Johann Plachota crowned his comeback (after a decade away from minigolf competitions) with the first place in this top-class competition, together with his team partner Michael Gebetshammer.

The second place was taken by none less experienced Heinz Weber & Christian Freilach (both of them medalists in international major championships), followed by Erik Schweinzer & Andreas Lackner on third place.

The evergreen Austrian legends Claudia & Reinhard Schuster took fourth place, leaving the visiting German stars Harald Erlbruch & Corina Reinisch on 5th rank.

There have been days in minigolf when junior players win everyone, but this was not one of those days. Decades of experience outpowered young talent at the difficult eternite course of Sport Oase in Salzburg.
