Uppsala was the big winner this weekend in Stockholm at Tantogårdens beton course. This is the course where the Swedish Championship will be played later this year and also where the World Championship will be played next year.
By winning all matches and being the only team with all green team rounds Uppsala are now 4 point ahead of Skoghall that had a good weekend winning 5 of 7 matches.
The weather condition where quite tough on Saturday with cold temperatures, rain showers and strong wind, but on Sunday the sun came and the results was much lower. The Tantogården courses showed not to be as easy and a average below 28 is a really good result. Only three players could achieve that this weekend.
After Uppsala two other teams had a strong weekend. First of all Skoghall that took once again 10 points and are now a bit surprisingly alone in a clear second position on 20 points, 4 points ahead of Jönköping that had a more or less catastrophic weekend with only 6 points.
The second team that also made a strong comeback from last round was Södertälje winning 4 matches and 8 points. Also Tyresö managed to take 6 points and remains still in the battle of a new contract.
Sjöviken that was a positive surprise as newcomer in the first weekend had a much tougher weekend this time on concrete. It was maybe expected since the other teams had a strong warning last round, but also the beton surface is expected to be the weakest for the southern Swedish Team. Only 4 points leaving them in a position in the middle and realistically only play for bronze in the last round.
Tantogården is probably not that pleased with their results this weekend, playing on home ground and having a strong team on paper. But quite high results from many hands and only 6 points actually leaves Tanto in a fight for new contract in the last round in Uppsala on eternit in the last weekend in July.
The nightmare continued this weekend for Kungälv who only manage to win one match on their strongest surface and with only 4 points after two rounds
Best individuall where:
1 Thomas Pölder,Uppsala BGK (27,7)
2 Anders Olsson, Uppsala (27,7)
3 Jesper Andersson, Skoghalls BGK (27,7)
4 Dino Medenhodzic, Skoghalls BGK ( 28,6)
5 Carl-Johan Ryner, Uppsala BGK ( 28,6)
6 Jonas Gustavsson BGK Jönköping ( 28,6)
Only three blue rounds were made and Jesper Andersson was the lowest with 23 that also is the current course record.
