Pierluigi misses blue in Vedano Italian beton guru Pierluigi Marchiani had a blue total score right from the beginning, with round scores like 22 and 23, at Vedano al Lambro indoor beton competition.

However, his fifth and last round of the competition, 29 points, dropped him just outside of a blue total score, to an average score 25.00.

Pierluigi Marchiani has represented Italy at European Championships 2002 in Praha (CZ), where he finished on the 77th rank. He has also played at European Cup 2002 and 2006, in the team of MMC Paderno.

The best female player of Vedano tournament was Anna Catanzaro, with an average score 27.40. The first place in pairs competition was taken by Claudio Santopietro & Pierluigi Marchiani.

A most positive performance was seen also by Philippe Lhéritier of France, who was the fifth best player of the competition, with an excellent average score 26.20.

Vedano al Lambro has one of the most beautiful 100% indoor beton courses in the world. This year’s winter competition attracted 98 top-class players from 8 countries (Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Switzerland), making it one of the most international and prestigious beton competitions of this winter season.
