Uppsala rules on Swedish Championships

Uppsala showed their power at this years Swedish Championships by taking two gold medals during the finals today. Anders Olsson took the lead at the first superfinal round on eternit and did not give it away after a magnificent 25 on Tantogårdens beton course. Sandra Bengtson took over the lead quite early and didn't gave it away during a tough last round.

On a day where the weather was a bit different from the previous days a bit over 50% of the players started with the finals where, except the mens, not much changed in the first two rounds.

In the mens category 9 players went to the super final. With those 9 players there were two surprising Danish players, Allan Schwab and Mads Nørregaard, who were playing a big role. In the last combi-round it was Anders Olsson from Uppsala taking the lead over his team mate Carl-Johan Ryner. Mads Nørregaard was the surprising number 3 in the last 'tripple'. During an exiting end it was Anders Olsson who kept the lead with a good round of 25. Mads and Carl-Johan had to play a sudden death to see who would take the second place. Mads took this second place after acing the first lane but because he is not Swedish citizen he was not the one taking the silver medal, which was given to Carl-Johan Ryner instead. Fourth place, and bronze, was for Patrik Jönsson of Jönköping BGK.

At the ladies it was a nice fight between Eva Andersson of Tantogården and Sandra Bengtson of Uppsala. In the last two rounds it was Sandra who quitely kept the lead and won with a 6 shot difference. Eva took the silver and Jenny Erlandsson of Laxen took the bronze.

The other results were:
