Brown & Samuelsson in blue mood

Sweden 02 Mar 2008 at 17:00 | Published by: JJM | Views: 7746 | News search

Brown & Samuelsson in blue mood Lars Brown and Peter Samuelsson took the first place in Eskilstuna eternite marathon 2008, with a convincing win margin of 13 points, as both of them hit a blue total score.

Samuelsson had some trouble finding a blue mood in the early stages of the competition, but his double eighteen (18 + 18) in the last two rounds finally sank his total score below the magic 20.00 limit.

The best player of the competition was Martin Sjöberg, however, with an average score 19.73 — which includes five consecutive rounds 18 18 19 19 18. He landed on second place in the pairs competition with Peter Eisenschmidt, who played an average score 20.80.

World-class game was seen also from Karin Wiklund, who was the best female player with her average score 20.23. She reached the third place in pairs competition, together with Thomas Pölder, who scored an average 20.69.

Also Sandra Weaver was in top form, playing an average score 20.79, which was the second best female performance in the competition. The third best female player was Karoline Karlsson, with an average score 21.67.
