New record on the EC2010 felt course!
13 Sep 2010 at 15:57 | Published by: bub74 | Views: 9715 | News search
Austrians League Day 1 (Bundesliga) brought some good individual results, especially Thomas Emich (Steyr) surprised austrians elite class by a 85 (28.33) on 3 rounds on the longest and one of the hardest felt courses around: Wasserpark/Vienna. With some small mistakes on the last lanes he missed an even more incredible result, but still this new course record (30, 28, 27) may also be a challenge for the top players coming to Vienna to play the European Cup in a couple of weeks.
Dispite of this breathtaking result, his team (Steyr) just managed 3rd place leaving the spectators astonished by leaving their youngstar and only starter in Predazzo, Mario Dangl, on the "bench".
Once again on top was WAT 21 before Bischofshofen (who did well to bind the new Austrian Champion Christian Gobetz for this season). WAT 21 played a solid rehearsal for the European Cup with an average of 35.11, a result of which according to some Austrians should be good enough for a medal at the EC 2010.
The Ladies Teams competion was more exiting, but with loads of black rounds. Linz Lissfeld won the competion even though they got no points for the first round with a strong closer Manuela Zojer (112). Rot-Gold finished second (missing Birgit Heschl) just before Gänserndorf, who will get enforcement next year by the European Championchip silver medalist Lisa Gruber. » Results

14 Sep 2010 at 16:19 | Our Youngstar, Markus Danner (16 years old), was playing in the team. At his first felt competition in "Wasserpark" he played 102! Our EM Starter Mario Dangl got a well-deserved break after a stressful season 2010. |
